A Biblioteca Municipal Nuto Sant'Anna, em parceria com o telecentro Nuto Sant'Anna, realizou a Semana da Criança, onde os pequenos puderam desfrutar de diversas oficinas e atividades lúdicas.

A programação ofereceu oficinas de bijuterias de origami, horta, fanzines, grafite e pipas, além de contação de histórias e teatrinho de fantoches. Cerca de 500 pessoas participaram das atrações, a maioria vinda de escolas, ONGs e abrigos da Zona Norte. A Coordenadoria do Sistema Municipal de Bibliotecas, da Secretária de Cultura, ofereceu o Festival de Contação de Histórias, com duas atrações para as crianças. As demais atividades eram conduzidas por voluntários.
Todo ano, em Outubro, a biblioteca recebe o "Festival de Contação de História", evento que tem como objetivo promover a tradição oral, a leitura e também a possibilidade dos participantes conhecerem várias formas de narrar histórias com repertório diversificado. Nesse ano, para comemorar essas duas datas, organizaram três dias de atividades e oficinas com o intuito de beneficiar cada vez mais o público infantil, com temáticas como artes, meio ambiente, informática e literatura, de maneira prazerosa e descontraída.

Segundo Joeli Rocha, coordenadora da biblioteca, eles promovem regularmente atividades voltadas ao público infantil. A intenção é garantir que o evento "Semana da Criança" torne-se anual e beneficie cada vez mais o público infantil do distrito de Santana.
