Alan M. Moss, diretor de vendas online das Américas da empresa, recebeu os executivos brasileiros.

Flávio Inácio conta que uma das novas tendências é o mobile commerce, a compra em lojas virtuais através de aparelhos celulares. Para atender esses novos consumidores, os sites de e-commerce precisam adaptar suas plataformas para atender através desse novo mecanismo.

O Social Commerce, um novo conceito que relaciona o comércio eletrônico e mídias sociais, se tornará ainda mais forte. O executivo explica que por meio deste novo serviço a empresa não tira o cliente do ambiente em que ele está navegando e ainda aproveita um comentário ou avaliação de um produto para que seja convertida em venda.

Os vídeos disponíveis na internet também se destacam como uma fonte de informação. Geralmente criados pelas próprias empresas ou fabricantes, os vídeos apresentam o produto ao cliente. Mas também é possível encontrar com frequência o material em forma de avaliação do produto pelo próprio consumidor. "As empresas devem aproveitar o próprio conteúdo gerado pelo cliente, mesmo sendo ele comentário, avaliação ou referência", afirmou Inácio.

Uma das tendências mundiais é o período de compras de Natal cada vez mais estendido. Os norte-americanos acreditam que a decisão de compra de final de ano começa já em Agosto. E as compras continuam mesmo depois do Natal. "As empresas precisam estar preparadas antecipadamente para atender esses clientes". As grandes promoções, que duram geralmente um final de semana, já tradicionais nos EUA, se aplicadas no Brasil, também podem trazer bons resultados para o mercado brasileiro.
