O Rotary é um clube de serviços que foi formado em Chicago por Paul Harris, em 1905. Desde essa data ele foi se ramificando e hoje está presente em quase todos os países. O Rotary Club Mandaqui é um dos mais de 30 mil existentes no mundo, e comemorou 6 anos com uma confraternização.

A abertura foi feita pelo atual presidente José Alberto Matos, por Vanessa Meriellen Gonçalves, próxima a assumir a presidência, e Joel Filho, governador assistente da área VI. Depois da saudação à bandeira do Brasil, e da leitura de palavras de congratulação, os membros se uniram para um jantar descontraído, com direito a bolo e uma canção de parabéns ao clube.
O objetivo do Rotary é o de unir lideranças locais e exercer trabalho voluntário na comunidade. O espírito do clube se faz presente no lema: "Dar de si, antes de pensar em si", e nos seus projetos que atingem a comunidade local e de âmbito internacional. No Mandaqui as reuniões são realizadas às 2ª-feiras, para discutir projetos, debater assuntos e fortalecer o companheirismo.

Atualmente desenvolvem o projeto ROM - Rotary Ocular Mandaqui - onde fizeram um mutirão de saúde para as crianças da Congregação Humildes Servos da Rainha do Amor. Outro projeto é o Juntando Letras que, desde Abril de 2010, propicia alfabetização para cerca de 10 adultos no Centro Social do Lauzane Paulista e em breve passará a atender os jovens da Congregação. Além disso, mantém uma parceria com a ASFAR - Associação de Famílias Rotárias. Vanessa, que faz parte do Rotary há quatro anos, diz que na sua gestão, dará continuidade aos projetos que estão em andamento e pretende criar outros voltados à família e às crianças.
