IYF ENCERRA ATIVIDADES COM NOITE CULTURAL

A IYF - International Youth Fellowship - realizou sua 12ª Noite Cultural, que marca o encerramento das atividades do semestre. Um vídeo produzido pelos próprios voluntários mostrou os melhores momentos das oficinas durante os primeiros seis meses.

A festa contou com diversas danças culturais típicas como o "maahi ve" - dança indiana, o "duleque" - dança da Coréia do Sul e "Wakati" - dança africana. O evento também teve uma apresentação instrumental, uma peça teatral que contava uma história real que se passou durante uma viagem para a África, e do coral Misericórdia, que cantou músicas religiosas e algumas africanas no estilo "à capella". Todas as apresentações foram feitas pelos jovens voluntários da ONG.
A IYF é uma ONG de base cristã fundada em 2000 na Coréia do Sul pelo pastor Ock Soo Park, dentro da Igreja da Boa Notícia. No Brasil atua desde 2005, e atualmente está presente em mais de 90 países. A missão é transformar os jovens, ajudando-os a superar seus limites e alcançar seus objetivos. Para isso eles desenvolvem atividades e oficinas de violão, espanhol, japonês, inglês, matemática, pintura em tela, maquiagem, palestras entre outros.

Também desenvolvem um trabalho de intercâmbio chamado "Good News Corp", onde os jovens passam um tempo fora do país trabalhando como voluntários e aprendem sobre a língua e a cultura do lugar, e quando voltam transmitem o que aprenderam para os jovens daqui.
Segundo Marluze Constantino, vice-presidente da IYF em São Paulo, realizam ainda o Acampamento Mundial, que dura cerca de cinco dias e reúne jovens de diversos lugares para promover uma integração e maior conhecimento de outras culturas.
